Construction & Lifetime Warranty

LIFETIME WARRANTY
The Lifetime warranty offered by Leather Furniture South shall cover the following conditions: Leather Furniture South will repair or replace with equivalent materials (if identical goods are not available) any defective material used in the company’s product where the defect results from:

1. LIFETIME GENUINE TOP GRAIN LEATHER COVERS
All Leather Furniture South pieces are covered exclusively in select top grain cowhides procured from the finest tanneries around the world. We do not use vinyl or split grain leathers in manufacturing of any products.

• Peeling - The finish will not peel from the leather.
• Cracking - The leather will resist cracking under normal use.
• Tearing - The leather will resist tearing under normal use.
• Fading - The finished leather resists fading, except in direct sunlight.
• Tackiness - The leather will not become tacky or sticky.

2. LIFETIME FRAME CONSTRUCTION
Frames are constructed from select hardwood lumbers, all of which have been carefully dried, milled and processed to remove defects which could cause structural weakness. All corners and structural stresspoints are reinforced with corner blocks that are firmly glued in place. Leather Furniture South warrants against defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product under normal us.

3. LIFETIME CUSHION CONSTRUCTION
All cushion cores are constructed of high density, high resiliency foams wrapped in dacron. Additionally, many of our styles are offered with coil springs encased in foam, as well as down and feather crowning for the most luxurious seating. Leather Furniture South warrants all cushions against loss of foam resiliency for the life of the product. Your foam will conform to its user with use and aging. Do not confuse normal softening and flattening that occur in all foam with actual loss of foam resiliency. Only the latter is covered by this warranty.

4. LIFETIME SPRING CONSTRUCTION
Leather Furniture South uses the finest spring base construction available for leather upholstered furniture; the majority of our styles incorporate heavy 8-way hand tied steel coil springs for maximum durability and lasting comfort. Leather Furniture South warrants that the spring construction in this product is free from defective material and workmanship for the life of the product under normal use.

5. LIFETIME MOTION MECHANISMS, SLEEPER MECHANISMS, INNER SPRING MATTRESS
Leather Furniture South warrants all motion and sleeper mechanisms against defective material or workmanship for the life of the product under normal use. Innerspring mattresses are warranted to be free of defects for three years under normal use.

CONDITIONS
This warranty shall extend only to the original purchaser for the lifetime of that individual. This warranty cannot be transferred. This warranty shall extend only to furniture used in the purchaser’s home. Corporation or contract purchases, or any use of the furniture for the general public is not covered by this warranty.

WARRANTY SERVICE
Claims are to be made directly to Leather Furniture South. Leather Furniture South’s obligation under this warranty is limited to replacing or repairing at Leather Furniture South’s option any part or parts of the product found to be defective in material or workmanship. Leather Furniture South in its sole discretion will determine the cause and nature of any defect, the necessity and manner of repair or replacement, and all other matters pertaining to the condition of the furniture.

If it should become necessary to return the product to the factory for repairs, the cost of packing, brokerage and shipping to and from the factory are not covered by this warranty. Most repairs can be made in your home. Evidence of original ownership such as sales invoice or other documents of purchase will be required.

EXCLUSIONS
This warranty shall not apply to any conditions or defects resulting from commercial usage, negligence, misuse, alterations, fire, accidents, improper cleaning, contact with sharp or rough objects, or contact with any foreign substance. Claims due to cuts, burns, or pet damage are excluded. This warranty does not cover fading or exposure to the sun.

Leather Furniture South makes no other express warranties, including warranties as to fitness for a particular purpose. Nor shall Leather Furniture South have any responsibility for incidental or consequential damages resulting from the breach of this warranty, including but not limited to rental or replacement products, loss of the profits or commercial loss. Some states or provinces do not allow the exclusion of limitation of incidental or consequential damages, therefore, the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that may vary from state to state.

Recliner Warranty

Our recliners have a Limited Warranty to the original consumer under normal residential use. Submitted claims must be accompanied with proof of purchase. There is no warranty for commercial, rental, business, or institutional use.

Mechanism and Frame
The black metal parts of the reclining mechanism and the wooden frame parts will be free of defect in any workmanship and material for as long as the original consumer owns the furniture. Replacement of these parts will be made at no cost as long as supplier parts are available.

Leather
All leathers are warrantied against defective material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. This warranty covers seam failure as well. Excluded is fading, stretching, dye lot variations.

Natural markings such as scars, brands, wrinkles, grain variation, etc. will be considered normal characteristics and not construed as defects.

Motorized Parts
All motors, vibrators, and electrical components will be free of any defect in workmanship and material for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

All Other Parts
All other parts will be free of any defect in workmanship and material for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

Procedure for Claim
Any defect covered by this Warranty that is reported during the first year from the date of purchase will be repaired at the expense of the manufacturer, except for the cost of packing and shipping to and from the factory if need be. After one year, the consumer will be responsible for all labor and shipping costs. Parts will be provided at no cost if still covered under Warranty.
